Jaipur: A massive fire broke out at Mysore Mahal marriage hall on Tuesday. The hall is situated on the Sirsi road, adjacent to Entertainment Paradise (EP) in Jawahar Circle area.

As per media reports, a temporary structure made of wood and thermocol caught fire. Welding work was reportedly being done there and cartons filled with garbage was lying around.

The fire was soon brought under control. About ten fire brigades and many private water tankers were reportedly used to douse the fire.

The marriage hall is said to have suffered major damages. The extent of the fire was such that fumes could be seen a couple of kilometres away. Fortunately, no marriage was being held at the venue when the fire broke out. However, there were many workers who were working at the venue. As per reports, everyone is safe.

The fire reportedly broke out at around 1:30 pm on Tuesday. The police are investigating the matter.

The traffic around the hall was diverted due to the fire. The monetary loss has not been estimated yet. The venue is considered to be popular for marriage functions.
