Seven criminals arrested; arms sezied in Rajasthan's Jodhpur

Jaipur: Seven criminals were today arrested by the Special Operation Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police and and a cache of arms and ammunition were seized from them in Jodhpur.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of SOG led by SP Sanjay Shrotriya went to Jodhpur and caught the gang members hailing from Haryana and were in Jodhpur to execute a crime.

Four illegal firearms, nine cartridges and three cars were seized from their possession, ADG ATS and SOG Umesh Mishra said.

The accused were identified as Sandeep Bishnoi, Surendra, Hariom Kaushik, Baljeet Jat, Hawa Singh, Bhanwar Lal and Birma Ram, he said.

Of them, Bishnoi and Kaushik each carry a cash reward of Rs 5,000 on their head, he added.
