Mumbai: Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam Kapoor is all set the tie the nuptial knot with beau Anand Ahuja on May 8. The Kapoor and the Ahuja families issued a joint statement to confirm news of the couple's marriage ceremony.
The statement read: "The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on May 8 in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives."
Anand, a Delhi-based fashion entrepreneur, who has been dating Sonam for the past few years, took to his Instagram page to showcase his faith in magic. Incidentally, the post came after news of Sonam's wedding was made official.

The wedding preparations have begun and it is going to be an intimate affair with just family and very close friends in attendance. Anand accompanied Sonam to last year's National Film Awards making their relationship official when the actor received a special mention for her performance in Neerja.
Sonam will next be seen in Veere Di Wedding alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. The film is set to release on June 1. Besides Veere Di Wedding, Sonam will be seen in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju, which is slated to release this year.
