Is cow poop an answer to global warming problems?

Mumbai: Do cows have larger carbon footprints than cars? Well, researchers say so! A group of researchers have reportedly discovered that cow farts contribute a massive percentage of carbon emissions across the globe because their stomachs can produce large quantities of methane!

According to natureworldnews.com, in order to curb the effects of carbon on the environment, a few engineers have apparently found out a way to capture methane from cow dung. The manure can be stored in large containers and with the help of a mechanism be converted into usable energy.

The four-cambered stomachs of cows have microbes that convert food into methane during the digestive process, reported Science ABC.

Engineers in Argentina have formulated an effective way to capture methane from the stomach of cows directly or through manure with the help of a devise called methane digester, reports suggest.

This will allow substantial reduction of methane from getting emitted into the atmosphere. The methane digester can store the gas which can then be converted into usable energy, this making constructive use of waste.
