Ambati Rayudu to be vice captain of Baroda team

Vadodara: Ambati Rayudu has been nominated as vice captain of Baroda team to play against West Bengal in the four-day elite B group Ranji trophy match starting from December 21 at Motibag ground here.

Pinal Shah was already declared as captain. Rayudu who hails from Hyderabad has opted to play for Baroda and has done well so far in the season.

Baroda has so far secured 13 points and stands third in the league table. They have to win or take 1st innings lead over Bengal to qualify for the knockout stage.

Baroda team was runners up last year having lost to Rajasthan in the final here.
