Suresh Raina: Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli world's best captain and batsman

New Delhi: Team India star Suresh Raina was on Saturday bombarded with several questions by reporters at the unveiling of the Gujaraj Lions' team jersey.

With the Men in Blue leaving for the Asia Cup on Sunday, most questions were regarding the India's chances of winning the tournament and the left-hander's batting position.

Responding to one such question, the 29-year-old said having the world's best captain – MS Dhoni - and batsman – Virat Kohli – will help the team in believing they can win a match from any situation.

“Asia Cup is a very good practice for us before the World T20. It will be very important to win all the five matches in the Asia Cup as it will tell us where we stand in our preparation. Every member of the team has to be believe that we can win from any situation in the match. It helps that we have the best captain in the world and we also have the best player (Virat Kohli) in our team,” Raina was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

Raina himself is a critical component of India's T20I side. The Uttar Pradesh batsman is widely regarded as one of world's best players in this format.

Apart from scoring quick runs from the word go, Raina's part-time off-spin comes into play on low and slow wickets. He is also an exceptional fielder.

On the recent tour to Australia, Raina's stand with Yuvraj Singh helped India win the 3rd T20I.
