According to a report in the Times of India, a decision on this front will be reached after active consultation with franchises.

North America and UAE have emerged as the new likely destinations to host the tournament, which replaces the Champions League T20.

Several big-name players including the likes of Dale Steyn have expressed their reservations about such an event.

There is a fear among cricketers that non-stop T20 cricket could erode the popularity of the shortest cricket format.
