New Delhi: England's bowling spearhead James Anderson on Friday west past Kapil Dev on the all-time highest wicket-takers list in Test cricket.
The legendary Indian all-rounder is now seventh on that list with 434 Test wickets.
Anderson scalped his 435th victim in the longest format, as he dismissed Kushal Silva for 11.

The 33-year-old now boasts of 438 Test wickets after bagging a five-wicket haul against the visiting Sri Lankas in the 1st Test at Headingley.

It took Kapil 227 innings to get 434 wickets, while Anderson got to that mark in his 213th inning.
Muttiah Muralitharan is at the top of that list with 800 scalps, followed by Shane Warne and Anil Kumble with 708 and 619 wickets respectively.
