Gibson says Windies team `not able to stand` against Kiwis in Test series

Sydney: West Indies head coach Ottis Gibson has said that his team is not able to stand up to what the New Zealand team is offering in their Test series at the Kiwis` home and that was really disappointing for him.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Gibson said that the tourists` changing shed wasn`t a pleasant environment immediately after the meek innings and 73-run loss inside three days at the Basin Reserve .

He said that there was a lack of fight and the sign of embarrassment and these are things that are not good for the dressing room.

Gibson oversaw a lengthy practice session behind closed doors on Saturday as more hard work is expected before the third Test starting at Seddon Park on Thursday where the West Indies must defy momentum if they are to level the series following a drawn first Test in Dunedin where they were mostly outplayed, the report said.
