I have told administrators not to expect any miracle from J&K Ranji team: Parvez Rasool

New Delhi: The Ranji Trophy season is around the corner but Jammu & Kashmir skipper Parvez Rasool is quite furious over the sorry state of his state cricket association, as he feels that players are not mentally prepared.

The only Jammu and Kashmir cricketer to represent the nation, Rasool told The Indian Express: “We have just 10 days left for our Ranji Trophy games and we don’t know which group we should join or which camp we had to attend. We don’t even know if we will be playing at home or not.

“Right now I don’t feel like playing with those who are in contention for Ranji team as the vibe isn’t nice. Everywhere I go, there is talk of uncertainty. I practiced at my home...I don’t know whether I will be leading the side or not,” added the 26-year-old.

Rasool even revealed the newspaper that he had told the administrators not to expect any miracle.

“To be honest, I don’t think we are mentally prepared to play. Yes, if we manage to win a few games at the start of the season, we can gain momentum. We shall try our best. I have told the administrators don’t expect any miracle,” stated Rasool.

The upcoming Ranji season is scheduled to start from October 1 2015.
