New Delhi: West Indies beat England in a thriller by four wickets to win the coveted ICC World Twenty20 trophy for the record 2nd time in the history of the tournament.
Carlos Brathwaite hit four consecutive sixes in the last over of the match, bowled by Ben Stokes to take West Indies home.
Marlon Samuels also played a crucial role in his team's win with an unbeaten 85 off 66 balls, with the help of nine fours and two sixes.
As Windies won the dramatic finale at Eden Gardens, cricket fraternity congratulated the Darren Sammy-led side for creating history.
