New Delhi:  Pakistan cricket great Javed Miandad launched an attack on skipper Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik for the comments they made about playing in India during their Sunday press conference.

Speaking to Aaj TV channel, Miandad said players making such remarks should be ashamed of themselves.

"These cricketers should be ashamed of themselves for saying such a thing. Shame on you," Miandad said.

"What have the Indians given us? Speak the truth even while in India. For the last five years what have they given us or done with Pakistan cricket. Having served Pakistan cricket for so many years I am shocked and hurt to hear such comments from our players," he further added.

Javed's reaction came after Afridi had claimed Pakistan players received more love in India than even their home country.

"We have always enjoyed playing in India and have been loved by Indian crowds more than crowds back home in Pakistan," Afridi had said.

Malik too had echoed Afridi's statement, saying that he had never been surrounded by security personnel during his numerous visits to India.

A lawyer from Lahore has issued Afridi a legal notice for this comments as it was against national interest.

He also demanded an apologize to nation from Afridi and asked him to withdraw the statement.
