New Delhi: Weeks after he broke Shahid Afridi`s record for the fastest ODI ton, Kiwi all-rounder Corey Anderson has become a force to reckon with, as several franchises would be eyeing him when the IPL auctions take place on February 12, 13 in Bangalore next month.

Anderson has had a major role to play in New Zealand`s victory in the first two matches against India. His late onslaught lower down the order has hurt MS Dhoni and his boys badly. In the ongoing ODI series against India, the left-hander has played two swashbuckling knocks.

In the first ODI played at Napier, Anderson came to bat at number six and he remained unbeaten on 68 off just 40 balls, an innings that comprised of four sixes and six boundaries. Not only that, Anderson also picked two wickets of Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane to seal his Man of the Match award.

In the second ODI, Anderson was promoted at number five, and he didn`t disappoint his skipper as his 44 runs came off just 17 balls, and on this occasion he slammed five sixes and two boundaries. Anderson once again proved handy with the ball, and even though he conceded 67 runs in 7.3 overs, he picked three wickets in the match.

While Brendon McCullum is believed to be one of the finest batsmen in T20 format of the game, considering his stupendous form, Anderson is likely to be one of the highlights at the IPL auctions next month.
