Visakhapatnam: In-form Virat Kohli once again played a brilliant knock but he missed his 18th ODI ton by one run in the 2nd ODI match between West Indies and India being played at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.

While batting on 99, Kohli pulled a short ball from Ravi Rampaul towards fine leg where James Holder dived to his front to take an excellent catch, which broke the hearts of the Indian fans who were ready to cheer for Kohli’s ton.

India’s vice-captain had previously scored two consecutive centuries at the same ground and he looked all set to score a hat-trick but was dismissed by Rampaul. During his magnificent knock, Kohli surpassed teammate Rohit Sharma as the highest run-getter in ODIs in 2013.

When Kohli was dismissed, India were 209/5 in 40 overs. A late flourish from skipper MS Dhoni boosted India’s total to 288 runs in the first ODI.
