IPL 2015: Kings XI Punjab vs Royal Challengers Bangalore – Players to watch out for

New Delhi: Brimming with confidence, Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore take on Kings XI Punjab in the 50th match of the Indian Premier League at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh.

They will be playing at their home ground, and even though KXIP have won just two out of 12 matches, George Bailey and his boys will be looking to spoil RCB's momentum.

Here is a list of some of the players to watch out for:

Chris Gayle: When it comes to T20 cricket, nobody hits the ball as hard as Chris Gayle. The left-hander, who is known to break records in IPL at the blink of an eye, will once again be a key player to watch out for. He missed out on the run-fest in RCB's previous game against Mumbai Indians and would be desperate to hit another big knock.

Glenn Maxwell: The Big Show has had a very ordinary tournament so far where he is yet to hit a half-century. Maxwell, who was the key behind Punjab's resurgence last year, hasn't even played all the matches this year. A big knock is due from the Australian and the match against RCB could be a good opportunity for him to regain form.

George Bailey: He is under tremendous pressure, a captain of a sinking ship, and thus George Bailey would be very keen to salvage some pride for his team by delivering with the bat in the last couple of matches. Like most of his teammates, Bailey too has had an ordinary tournament as per his standards and the onus will be on him to play a significant knock against RCB.

RCB are the only team in the tournament who are yet to play three matches and a win against Punjab would take them to third position in the points table. In case if they manage to win with a good run-rate, they might rise to the second position, ahead of defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders.
