New Delhi: As Virat Kohli continued his incredible run in IPL 2016 by thrashing Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers all over the park, we all forgot that he had suffered an injury while attempting a difficult catch in the first innings.

It was only during the post-match presentation that we realised it after the flamboyant right-hander was struggling to hold his Man of the Match trophy due to pain.

When asked about the status of the injury, Kohli said, "It's a big split, my hand is starting to pain now, looks like I've got get seven or eight stitches. I don't mind even 10 stitches if we go on to win the next two matches."

In Match 48, Kohli (75), along with AB de Villiers (59), once again stitched a great partnership as the duo added unbeaten 115 runs for the second wicket to win the match for Bangalore.

RCB are currently ranked fifth in the points table and need to win their next two games against Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils to qualify for play-offs.
