Sydney: England cricket legend Geoffrey Boycott has said that the first warning signs of England`s decline came when they failed to beat New Zealand in early 2013.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, to build another team to challenge the world requires mental strength and strong desire from the coach.
Anybody who has seen the England players bowl in the nets says we cannot pick any of them because they are not bowling well enough, Boycott said.
He added that Jonny Bairstow and Gary Balance should have played in the third Test match.
Boycott also said that Swann had been taken out of the attack with Australia`s aggressive attitude.
He further said that the loss of one of England`s top scoring batsmen Jonathan Trott had been too big to bear.
Australia are not that good a side but they have just played to their best with more intensity, energy, good tactics and executed them brilliantly while England have been pathetic, he opined.
