Warner not to be punished over `scared eyes` criticism of Jonathan Trott

Melbourne: Cricket Australia has asked opening batsman David Warner to lie low in the aftermath of England batsman Jonathan Trott`s departure with a stress-related illness, although he would not be disciplined over his public criticism of the visitors` player.

According to The Age, there is no suggestion of a link between Warner`s remarks and Trott`s departure but there was a suggestion earlier in the week that CA could take action against the provocative batsman for describing Trott`s dismissal at the Gabba as pretty weak.

However, it`s understood he won`t be charged under CA`s code of behaviour and the ICC within the 48-hour window in which charges can be laid by the match referee did not cite him, the report said.

Warner withdrew from a planned spot on a Sydney radio show on Tuesday morning when news broke that Trott had left the Ashes tour and would take an indefinite break from cricket, the report added.
