In a series of tweets, Afridi justified PCB's selection of Amir in the One-Day International and Twenty20 squads for the away series against New Zealand on Friday.
I respect Azhar and Hafeez'a stance. We suffered a lot due to spot fixing scandal and our image was tarnished everywhere.

It's worth mentioning that Mohammad Hafeez and ODI skipper Azhar Ali have earlier threatened to leave the team if the pacer was selected.
PCB chief Shaharyar Khan was required to intervene in the matter before finally allowing Amir to return. Afridi then said, he expect Amir to serve Pakistan cricket with total dedication and commitment.
We now need to move on and I will back Amir and expect him to serve Pakistan cricket with total dedication and commitment
