New Delhi: Punjab's Yuvraj Singh fell for just two runs against Rajasthan in their opening game in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy on Saturday.
But the left-hander struck twice with the ball to compensate to an extent. Yuvi who has been selected by India for T20 series against Australia later this month, failed to have his say against Rajasthan and his focus will now be in the next game against Jammu and Kashmir.
A good outing in that tie can give the southpaw a much needed confidence boost.
Rajasthan beat Punjab by four wickets.
Meanwhile, bowling duo of Antony Dhas and M Ashwin shared seven wickets between them as Tamil Nadu thrashed Haryana by nine wickets.
The duo shared seven wickets between them to hurt Haryana who could only manage 113 runs.
Virender Sehwag failed to provide any entertainment after being dismissed for a paltry three runs. Sehwag was recently dumped by his Indian Premier League franchise, Kings XI Punjab.
Sehwag is playing this tournament as part of his preparations for the upcoming Masters Champions League.
