New Delhi: Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq once again led from the front to rescue an otherwise sinking Pakistani inning on Day 1 of the first test against England at Lord's.
The 42-year-old was virtually untroubled by the English bowling attack, securing a 148-run partnership with Asad Shafiq, who departed after scoring 73 runs.
In securing another elusive inning, Misbah also became the oldest Test captain to score a century. This is how twitteratis reacted to his performance-
In the commentary box, @Cricket_Mann and @iramizraja watch Misbah reach his 100... And then do some press-up! pic.twitter.com/a1WI0Hgf3T

Misbah (42 years and 47 days) - the oldest captain in history to score a hundred in Tests, beating Bob Simpson (41y 359d) vs Ind in 1978.
