New Delhi: During the second day of the 2nd and final Test between New Zealand and Australia, batsman Steve Smith was hit on the helmet by a vicious bouncer by seamer Neil Wagner on Sunday.
Smith tried to duck the short ball in the final over before tea, but it hit him on the back of his helmet.
And the impact was such that Smith fell to the ground in pain.
However by the time Joe Burns from the other end along with New Zealand’s fielders rushed in to make sure Smith was okay, the batsman picked himself up.
Smith, going through a purple patch with the willow, smashed a ton in the innings.
