New Delhi: Alex Hales hit the highest ever score by an Englishman in the world record total of 444-3 as England crushed Pakistan by 169 runs to clinch the ODI series at Trent Bridge.
Eoin Morgan's men surpassed the previous record of 443 for nine by Sri Lanka against the Netherlands at Amstelveen in 2006.
This was a timely innings for Hales, who had scored just 145 runs in the Test series against Misbah-ul-Haq's boys.
After beating Pakistan by 169 runs in the 3rd ODI, England gained an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
