We will try to give everybody a game in Asia Cup: Mahendra Singh Dhoni

New Delhi: India's limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who faced criticism from few quarters for playing the same XI in last two T20I series, made it clear on Sunday that in the upcoming Asia Cup he will try to give everybody a game.

Veteran cricketer Harbhajan Singh hasn't played a single match since making a comeback in the Indian team. The offie has been warming the bench since last six T20I matches.

Besides, youngster Pawan Negi was also on the sidelines during entire series against Lanka and is still waiting to play his debut match.

However, it seems that Dhoni has made up his mind to give all the players a match before participating in the ICC World T20 at home.

"We will try to give everybody a game. It's something that is as important as to play as a settled team. It's important to give everyone a game under their belt but we will look to win the games and that's our top priority.

“I feel the conditions will allow us to give others opportunity. From the team's perspective, it's important to make sure you keep repeating your performances and do well for the team and enjoy the team," Dhoni said before leaving for Dhaka for the Asia Cup, starting from February 24.

After winning two T20 series on the bounce, Dhoni is beaming with confidence as he claimed that Team India has all the ingredients to win big tournaments.

"I've the belief and talent required to win a big tournament. This team has all the ingredients. It's important to keep everyone fit. If everybody gets a chance to play it will be very good for us.

“Ultimately you have to go and do well on the field that's what it is all about. In this format you have to keep the big hitters away," added Dhoni.
