Lionel Messi's international comeback: Is the Argentine planning to reconsider retirement? Here's the truth!

New Delhi: If reports are to be believed, there could be some good news in store for Lionel Messi fans.

The 29-year-old, who announced shocking retirement from international football post a 2-4 loss via penalties against Chile in Copa America final recently, is already planning to make a comeback to national team in November, reports La Nacion.

The report, citing an unnamed ex-teammate of the Argentine legend, says the star attacker will return for Argentina in its World Cup qualifying matches this November.

The report further added that Messi's ex-teammate, who played with him in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cups, told the publication the following:

"He's going to return, and he has Russia 2018 as an obsession."

Argentina will play Uruguay and Venezuela in September. If the reported news is true, Messi will then possibly skip those matches and return to the team for the November 10 game at Brazil or November 15 at home to Colombia.
