Davidson, North Carolina: Anirban Lahiri continues his quest for the full card on the PGA Tour as he tees up at the Small Business Connection Championship at River Run here on Thursday.

The 28-year-old Indian, who was in contention for the title till the start of the final round, finished tied-6th despite struggling with his long game for most of the week.

Unable to get to as many fairways he would have liked, Lahiri, winner of two co-sanctioned titles on European and Asian Tour at Malaysian Open and Hero Indian Open, did hit his approaches well and his putter did hit bidding only occasionally.

Finishing sixth in such circumstances would make him one of the players to watch out for when in full flow.

Lahiri is the highest world ranked player in the field at 40th and he earned USD 34,750 at the Hotel Fitness Championships. The final and 25th card year last year went at $ US 36,311 (Eric Axley) and in 2013 it went at 33,650 (Bobby Gates).

Lahiri has so for committed to the first three events and then a take a week off to prepare for Presidents Cup, where he will become the first Indian ever to play for the International team.

While Lahiri ended sixth at Sycamore Hills at Hotel Fitness Championships, Swede Henrik Norlander won last week after he shot 19-under 269 and he was three clear of D.H. Lee and Michael Thompson.

Players who finished inside the top 25 on the Web.Com Tour Regular Season money list are battling to chase down Patton Kizzire for the No. 1 spot by the end of the four-event Finals, with fully exempt TOUR status on the line, and also to improve their Priority Ranking for the 2015-16 TOUR season.

The four Finals events will determine who earns the second set of 25 PGA TOUR cards for the 2015-16 season as well as set the priority-ranking positions for all 50 card earners. The Finals get underway Thursday at the Hotel Fitness Championship in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
