New Delhi: Ace Indian wrestler Geeta Phogat tied the nuptial knot with another wrestler Pawan Kumar in a grand wedding ceremony in her ancestral village on Sunday.
The otherwise quiet Bilali village, was the centre of spotlight as Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who is playing the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat - father of medal- winning athletes Geeta and her sister Babita, in his next film Dangal, arrived in Bilali village to attend Geeta's wedding.
It was reported earlier that Aamir would be gifting the bridal dress to Geeta. When asked if he was able to do that, Aamir said, “I was about to bring one for her but I later got to know that her mama (maternal uncle) is supposed to get it. But my film Dangal is my gift to her and I wish her all the best in life.”

The actor however brought sweets and dry fruits along with cash for the Phogat family.
The actor arrived at around 4 pm after taking a commercial flight and then a chartered one, followed by a road journey.
Dressed in traditional kurta-pyajama, Aamir greeted the Phogat family and other guests with folded hands. He is also said to have personally supervised the buying of gifts for both sides, the Phogats and the groom's family.
Actor Sakshi Tanwar, who plays Aamir's wife in Dangal was also present with him.
