Leander Paes refuses to share flat with doubles partner Rohan Bopanna: Report

New Delhi: Just like London 2012, there is trouble brewing within the Indian tennis team just two days ahead of the Rio Olympics.

According to a report on CNN-News18, Leander Paes is yet to arrive in Rio despite others getting there on August 1.

This has forced Rohan Bopanna to practice with other players.

The reported further added that the veteran star has informed the Indian Olympic Association that he didn't wish to share a flat with doubles partner Bopanna in the Olympic Village.

Despite playing together in the Davis Cup tie few weeks back, the duo does not share a great relationship.

Bopanna, whose first choice was Saketh Myneni, was forced to pair up with Leander due to a directive by All Indian Tennis Association (AITA).

"Leander is en route to Rio and is reaching this evening," Vece Paes, Leander's father, told the channel.

Senior Paes also stated that his son was only late by half a day and this was discussed by the team during the Davis Cup tie in Chandigarh.
