Jitu Rai

Jitu Rai won a silver medal at the 51st shooting World Championships to secure his spot in Rio. He will feature in 50m pistol and 10m air pistol events at the Olympics. Despite this being his debut, the 29-year-old is ice cool under pressure and has an ability to step up his game at key moments. He has won gold medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games (50m pistol), 2014 Incheon and Asian Games (50 m pistol). Jitu is ranked second and third in the 50m pistol and 10m air pistol event respectively. Simply put, him not winning a medal will come as a huge set back to India's shooting contingent.
