New Delhi: Swiss maestro Roger Federer on Saturday said that world number one Novak Djokovic is "clearly he's beatable" at the 2016 Wimbledon.
Chasing a record eighth title at the All England Club, Federer cantered to an easy straight sets 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 win over England's Daniel Evans for a place in the fourth round.
But Djokovic, the two-time defending champion, was down two sets to big serving Sam Querrey in their third round match before rain stopped play on Day 5.
"I know we get carried away, we think it's impossible to beat him [Djokovic], all these things," Federer said after his match. "Clearly he's beatable. It's not impossible."
Djokovic, holding all four Major titles, is on the right path to achieve the calendar Grand Slam.
"He cannot win straight 200 matches in tennis. It's not possible. You're going to have your losses. But he hasn't lost. That's the great thing for him. He can fight his way out of it," the 17-time Grand Slam winner added.
Federer had to settle for runners up plate at his favourite tournament in the last two editions, losing both the finals to the Serbian.
On Saturday, play resumed only to face another rain interruption again. And Djokovic was taking a 4-0, 15-0 lead against Querrey in the must-win third set.
Strangely, Djokovic survived a similar test of will and application last year in the fourth round against another big server, Kevin Anderson of South Africa.
Anderson had won the first two sets on tie-breakers, only to see the indomitable Serbian to win the next three sets next day after rain interruption, en route to his third Wimbledon title.
