President Police Medals for Gallantry (PPMG) has been awarded to three personnel, Police Medals for Gallantry (PMG) to 177 personnel, President's Police Medals for Distinguished Service to 89 personnel and Police Medal for Meritorious Service to 677 personnel.

Twitter announces Ashoka Chakra emoji to celebrate 73rd Independence Day
The specially designed emoji of the ‘Ashoka Chakra’ is a depiction of the Dharma Chakra; a wheel represented with 24 spokes in the national flag of India.
