SC/ST (Amended) Act passed by Supreme Court, uproar in Parliament
The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed the pleas challenging the Scheduled Castes/Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2018. The Supreme Court made it clear that there is no change in the immediate arrest and anticipatory bail provision for a person accused of atrocities against SC / ST.
