ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Reuters) - A powerful earthquake shook southern Alaska on Friday morning, buckling roads, disrupting traffic and knocking television stations off the air in Anchorage, the state`s largest city, but there were no immediate reports of injuries.

A magnitude-6.2 earthquake has struck off Alaska's sparsely populated Aleutian Islands. The U.S. Geological Survey says the temblor hit just after 7 a.M. Alaska time and was centered 58 miles (93 kilometers) southeast of Atka.
