ITC hits out at large graphic warning rule on cigarette packs
With its cigarettes business witnessing a subdued December quarter due to demonetisation and strict regulations, ITC has lashed out at the large graphic warning requirement on the packets saying there is no evidence that smoking would cause diseases depicted in the "extremely gruesome and unreasonable" pictures.

ITC says to keep cigarette factories shut over health warning rules
India`s top cigarette maker ITC Ltd, part-owned by British American Tobacco, said it was not ready to print bigger health warnings on its packs as mandated by the government and will keep its factories shut until clarity emerges on the new rules.
