Sufficient coal stock at power plants: NTPC
Amid apprehensions of a deficient monsoon hitting the power sector this year, country's largest power producer NTPC has said that there is sufficient coal at its plants as of now.

Goverment talks of contingency plan to tackle power woes
"Today, we have stocks which can run these power plants for almost 20-22 days continously...," the minister said, adding that the buffer stock has been built up.
"Power plants are ready to produce more. They have sufficient capacity in the system. Sufficient contingency plans have been drawn up," the minister said.
Coal stocks at 56 thermal plants critical: CEA
As per the latest data (September 29) by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), 56 coal-based power plants reported critical fuel stocks of less than seven days.

Goyal asks CIL for action plan to liquidate 39 MT coal
