'India had agreed to share funds of INA, IIL with Pak in 1953'

India had agreed to share with Pakistan the funds of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's Indian National Army (INA) and Indian Independence League (IIL) in 1953, according to declassified files released on Tuesday.

The second batch of 50 declassified files relating to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose will be released online by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (independent charge) and Civil Aviation, at 3:30 pm on March 29 on web portal www.netajipapers.gov.in.

Declassified files reveal Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose wanted to speak over radio

"For the last one month a rather strange broadcast is being heard over the radio...The broadcast only says 'Neta Subhas Chandra transmitter...Wanted to speak," this was written by Netaji's nephew Amiya Nath Bose in a letter to his brother in 1949 as revealed by one of the secret files on the leader declassified by the West Bengal government.
