Delhi: Three MCD bodies to merge on May 22
The erstwhile Delhi Municipal Corporation was trifurcated into three Municipal Corporations viz. South Delhi Municipal Corporation SDMC), North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), and East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) in the year 2011 vide the Delhi Municipal Corporation Amendment Act, 1911 (Delhi Act, 12 Of 2011).

Delhi MCD Election Update: Now there will be only one corporation in Delhi, Modi cabinet approved
The three municipal corporations of Delhi will be merged to form a single municipal corporation, which has been approved by the Modi cabinet, before 2012 there was only one corporation. Now Delhi will have only one mayor.

Delhi MCD Merger: Union Cabinet approves unification of 3 municipal bodies into 1
Delhi MCD Merger: Central cabinet on Tuesday approved the merger of Delhi's three municipal bodies into one. The cabinet, in a meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi, approved the unification of three municipal corporations to one Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and a bill for this will be tabled in Parliament this week.
