2 US Navy F-35C Lightning II pilots now TOPGUN after Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor course
With the F-35C Lightning II fighters now in service, the STFI 'TOPGUN' course was restructured and developed to integrate the stealth aircraft's tactics, techniques, and procedures. Although the F-35C tactics instructors at STFI have completed the TOPGUN course previously, Major Derek Heinz and Lieutenant William Goodwin III are the first graduates of the course currently flying the Lightning II.

US stops F-35 Lightning II sale to Turkey as Russia's S-400 Triumf missiles land in Ankara
Till July 16, 2019, 12 Russian aircraft have landed in Turkey with S-400 Triumf missile systems. Turkey, which is a member of the F-35 Lightning II development programme, has ordered 116 jets but the US has refused to deliver the stealth fighters.
