Amid political uncertainty in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao, who also holds charge for the southern state, today continued to stay put in Mumbai with no indication of when he will travel to Chennai.

Bill to replace ordinance on Jallikattu to be placed in Assembly: Governor
Observing that a "mass movement" and "spontaneous outpouring of emotion" paved the way for lifting of the ban on Jallikattu, Tamil Nadu Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao Monday said a bill to replace the ordinance would be "placed" by the state government in the Tamil Nadu Assembly "immediately."
