India-Bhutan border gates to reopen on September 23 after 2.5 years as Covid-19 cases reside
As the Covid-19 cases have now subsided, the respective governments have decided to reopen the India-Bhutan border from September 23.

India, Bhutan hold dialogue, to implement 21 new projects
During the talks, held on Friday, the 21 new PTA projects were agreed upon, in addition to 51 ongoing ones. The Indian delegation was led by T.S. Tirumurti, Secretary (Economic Relations), Ministry of External Affairs and the Bhutanese delegation was led by Kinga Singye, Foreign Secretary of Bhutan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bhutan on Saturday on a two-day visit during which he is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with the top leadership of the country. Prime Minister of Bhutan Lotay Tsering gave a red-carpet welcome to PM Modi at the Paro International Airport, after which he was accorded with Guard of Honour on his arrival in Thimphu.

SSB starts first border outpost training module
The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on Monday started its first on-field Border Outpost (BoP) training module for its 50,000 personnel guarding the India-Nepal and India-Bhutan borders.
