The forex reserves of India plunged to USD 351.73 billion, due to the RBI's attempt to stem the fall in rupee value and maintain the currency in it's comfort zone.

India forex reserves up $1.309 bn to $312.737 billion

After falling for five straight weeks, the country's reserves rose by whopping USD 1.309 billion to USD 312.737 billion in the week to October 10, on account of rise in foreign currency assets, according to data released by the RBI Friday.

Sharp fall in India's foreign equity inflows

Foreign direct investment inflows into India have fallen sharply from USD23.47 billion in 2011-12 to USD18.29 billion in 2012-13 and further to USD16.05 billion in 2013-14, latest Reserve Bank of India data shows.
