Shops in Mumbai reopen on odd-even basis as part of Unlock 1.0

More than two months after being closed for business due to the country wide lockdown to stop spread of coronavirus, shops in Mumbai reopened on Friday. The Mahrashtra government has permitted shops to function but with odd-even system in place.

Though the government refuses to call it a lockdown rather it is being dubbed as Unlock 1.0 since it is not an actual extension of the full lockdown. The guidelines suggest that the lockdown will be in effect for containment zones which will be decided by the states.
