Rail passengers can now enjoy tasty meals via IRCTC e-catering services: Here's how to book food using website, mobile and App

The Railways had to suspend the e-catering services for nearly a year due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in India. The e-catering service was started by the IRCTC in 2014 and is available on the IRCTC website – www.ecatering.irctc.com – or through telephone. The IRCTC e-catering service is also available on the ‘Food on Track’ app.

IRCTC to resume e-catering services from February 1, know how can you order food

The e-catering service was started by the IRCTC in 2014 and is available on the IRCTC website – www.ecatering.irctc.com – or through telephone. The IRCTC e-catering service is also available on the ‘Food on Track’ app. In the first phase of reopening, the e-catering services will begin at 62 stations across India including New Delhi, Lucknow, Bhopal, Patna, Surat, Ahmedabad, Pune, Howrah, Vijaywada, Ernakulum, Ujjain and Panvel.

IRCTC starts 'Khushiyon Ki Delivery'; order burgers, pizzas, biryani in train now

The IRCTC wants to make 'Khushiyon Ki Delivery' more successful as it saw tremendous growth in the e-catering business in the last one year. As of now, the IRCTC is receiving around 21,000 food orders daily through the e-catering app. Earlier, the figure was just 8,000 food orders per day.
