The Central Government's campaign against terrorism continues. Arbaaz Mir has been declared a terrorist who is a resident of Jammu and Kashmir. Arbaz Ahmed Mir, associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, has been declared a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.

During the questioning, the duo revealed the involvement of another accused in the crime, who was also arrested. NIA arrests Jammu and Kashmir man for helping Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists

Taraq Hussain Giri of Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar was arrested on February 17, the NIA spokesperson said. The case was initially registered on March 8, 2019, under sections of the RPC, the Arms Act and the UA(P)Act relating to snatching of service weapon from escort in-charge of Kishtwar DM.

Indian Army kills intruder at LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri, arms and ammunition recovered

The police officer added that the incident took place during the intervening night. The intruder was a resident of Kamalkote in Uri and as per initial reports the slain has been identified as of Kundibarjala Kamalkote. He had crossed the LoC in the 1990s, returned in 1992 and then surrendered in 1995.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the searching party and fire was retaliated and an encounter started. This is the first encounter of 2021 where security forces succeeded to kill three terrorists and recovered arms and ammunition from spot also.
