Govt cuts WINDFALL profit tax on domestic crude oil; scraps LEVY on jet fuel
The tax at the rate of Rs 5 a litre on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) exports was scrapped with effect from October 2, according to a finance ministry notification issued late Saturday night. The reduction in the tax rates follows the easing of crude oil prices in international markets.

In Delhi, the price of jet fuel was raised to Rs 90,519.79 per kilolitre from Rs 86,038.16 per kilolitre, while in the other metro cities like Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai, the prices were increased to Rs 94,888.70, Rs 88,987.20 and Rs 93,371.18 per kilolitre, respectively.

Aviation Turbine Fuel price cut 23 per cent, costs one-third of petrol, diesel rates
On May 3, aviation turbine fuel price was cut by Rs 6,812.62 per kilolitre, or 23.2 per cent, to Rs 22,544.75 per kl in the national capital, according to a price notification by state-owned oil marketing companies.
