Car sales rise nearly 10% in July; passenger vehicles up 17%
Car sales rose 9.62 percent in India last month while overall passenger vehicles grew 16.78 percent, driven mainly by robust sales of utility vehicles including Maruti Suzuki's Vitara Brezza and Hyundai's Creta.

After slowing down in June, Maruti Suzuki sales picked up pace drastically in July as the company raced to its ‘highest-ever sales in a month’ by selling 1,25,778 units to consolidate its position at the top of the bestselling car brands last month.
