Petrol, diesel demand slumps 66% in April amid COVID-19 lockdown; ATF consumption down 90%
India had consumed 2.4 million tonnes of petrol and 7.3 million tonnes of diesel in April 2019. As much as 6,45,000 tonnes of ATF was used in that month last year.

LPG consumers can avail 12 cylinder quota at anytime of year
In a relief to consumers, the Cabinet on Wednesday lifted the restriction of supply of only one subsidised cooking gas LPG cylinder to a household in a month, saying consumers can avail their quota of 12 bottles at anytime of the year.

Consumers can buy more than 1 subsidised LPG cylinder per month
LPG consumers will now get 12 cylinders of 14.2-kg at subsidised rate in a year even if they don't consume one cylinder a month, Communications and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said on Wednesday.
