Government may abolish LPG cylinder subsidy? Here's what we know so far
In the Union Budget 2021, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has reduced allocation for petroleum subsidy (meant for cooking gas and kerosene) to Rs 12,995 crore for 2021-22 from Rs 40,915 crore allocated in 2019-2021, resulting to reports that the government might use the subsidy for Ujjwala Scheme.
