ISRO launches PSLV-C-45 Mission from Sriharikota

The Indian Space Research Organisation on Monday launched a satellite of its own and 28 nano satellites of its international customers, using the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, from Sriharikota.

The spacewalkers left the station's Pirs airlock at approximately 10:45 a.m EDT to deploy several nanosatellites, collect research samples, perform structural maintenance and to install handrails and struts to facilitate future excursions.

The 30 satellites will together weigh 243 kg and the total weight of all the 31 satellites, including Cartosat, is about 955 kg, ISRO said.
