In order to know the authentic details about the universities across the country, the UGC has asked them to upload all information on their websites.

Digital depository for academic certificates to be operationalised in next 3 months
A National Academic Depository (NAD) for school certificates, degrees and academic awards will be operationalised within three months, wherein students and employers can access the verified documents digitally.

The NAD is an initiative of the HRD Ministry to maintain a national-level database of all academic qualifications from secondary school certificate to university and professional certificates.
